PDC/WDC gave lots of tickets away to events, nothing new

Really, when was this? I used to rock up at the Circus Tavern in the early days of the WDC. It was still £3 a session, bargain even in the mid 90s.

If there were free tickets going I would have got some.

They gave away tickets for an early TV pairs event at the Willows in Salford I think.. There were hardly any any paying customers... Also the first Premier League finals night at GMex in Manchester.. That wasn't selling too well and GMex was a huge venue for darts back then after all the weeks beforehand were in halls..
The thing is the PDC were building.. The BDO are crumbling.. PDC had a vision and a plan and sponsors... BDO have none of these

Utterly ridiculous. If this is the grand plan then they are shafted. I saw a Facebook ad the other day for the PL, and this is an event that well sell tens of thousands of tickets anyway, where is the same for the o2 sideroom?

The PL won't sell out completely so proof that the PDC is rubbish, or something. See also: crowds on the first day of Euro Tour events/Minehead.
