He did play in the 2014 GSOD as the reigning BDO World Champion, however the tournament didn't become ranking until 2015, so nobody had any money added to their OOM in 2014!

Why 2 women? No issue with one being given the place.

Surely nick Kenny and Scott Waites and anyone else who didn’t get a place should be pissed at a 2nd woman added instead of one of themselves.

Because they couldn't leave Ashton out, and Miriku is the reigning World Champ. I think two is fine, and the right choice with both deserving if any.

They are both more marketable than any of the men ranked below 5 in the BDO, rightly or wrongly. Sky call the shots, but anybody who thought the GSOD was about a level playing field between the two organisations should remember that it has always been like this. It reflects the financial power of the two organisations, and all the BDO do is make the first few days more interesting.

Pity Waites isnt in it. He might not be the player he used to be but his past record makes him a creditable opponent and he would add interest.

The atmosphere will be electric for the ladies walk ons (at wdt it was better for the ladies rather than the mens).

Especially Miriku. Cheesy song but it will get folk going.

and again the ladies are more marketable than many of the guys.
