Co-operation between the PDC and WDF could be the best thing for players.

A better darting calendar. WDF gold and silver events same weekend as PDC majors and pro tour events.

Bronze events same weekends as challenge and development tours.

Would be easier for the WDF player.

Heard a rumour that the Scots are pulling out and letting the SDA run their leagues if Des is still in charge by the end of this season. No reason why the EDO and WDO cant run the English and Welsh bit in conjunction tbh, its hardly difficult to compile fixtures every year and maintain a few averages tables.
Rumour that the Scots and Welsh are going to pull out the counties system

The 3 orgs can easily come around and have a tournament streamed/TV for their best players of the year

The Welsh cant pull out easily, their teams are intermingled within the English teams.

the Scottish thing is a done deal I think.

Des said he can compete with PDC...

he has already lost to WDF and can't even beat Scottish Darts Association... :DDD:

Maybe it will be an easy out.

He will definitely blame others or circumstances beyond his control.

But he won't like the fact that he oversaw the actual demise of the BDO and he won't like the fact that most folk will blame him.

I wonder if I should ask on fanatics if rumour true that the Scottish counties have pulled out of the BDO county system.. or would that cause too much trouble? I mean Ross will know.

If you do, that macdougal bloke will deny it 100% which means it will be confirmed within 24 hours. Not often you get such a combination of self importance and ill informed in one package.

So it’s all aboard the ferry to Holland to the Dutch hotel for at least one of these events imo

I do think the Indigo is worth pursuing if at all feasible.. It could be a really good venue if fuller and sponsored.... All down to costs at the end of the day

Masters style event and World Championship style event.

Effectively stripping the BDO of their majors. Lovely stuff.

BDO stripped of ranking events and its 2 oldest majors = great news for those who support the BDO.

You just couldn't make it up.

But, but, but... he has sponsors lined up yet again.

He said so in the letter to the players and counties.

I wouldn't blame them. They don't have to pay the BDO entry level either in that case.

Have done on real fanatics. Told definitely false info re Scotland.

But folks saying Wales not paying funds/subs to the bdo at the moment.

So it seems these rumours have a mix of truth in a bit of waffle.

Reinstate the Tour cards for WDF champions/semi finalists or at the very least direct entry into the Challenge Tour. Increased ladies places for the World Championship qualifiers. Give WDF WC places to Challenge Tour leaders/ event winners not qualified for PDC version. Return to Lakeside after securing a commitment from Bob Potter to invest in the venue - including a proper TV studio/area. Use the PDC''s connections to secure terrestrial TV coverage on ITV or BBC 2. Let the BDO concentrate on county darts and organising local leagues and comps. Job's a gud in.
