I may being rather dense , how do you add a signature when in the UCP , can't see it :?:

Hah, click Profile in UCP then Edit Sig ;)
Thinking of one.

it's not obvious at first glance;

When in the control panel (link is top right for those who havne't found it yet); click on the 'profile' link, then that opens up - edit signature - menu looks a bit as below;

Options
Overview
Profile <------

* » Edit profile
* » Edit signature <-----
* » Edit avatar
* » Edit account settings
