Page links to a dropbox entry list for the Grand Masters. Don't see the open list.

http://www.figf-italia.it/news/262/56/F ... TALIA.html

That site is the Italian association's site. Freccette is Italian for darts, and a search on freccette italia 2019 open got me there.

Try this for the draw, and perhaps for a live feed....I’m promising nothing after I got shot down for sharing something before!

6x as many male players as female, yet the winners prize is only half. Can that really be justified?

But, but, but... it should be equal prize money.
Someone on fanatics said they're just as good and bring in the same sponsorship revenue.

I suppose the sponsorship bit is true. Zero = zero.

I'm not trolling. If I ignore the Italian Open for a second, because the entry numbers are similar on each.

8500 EUR for the Men's Masters
3000 EUR for the Women's Masters

I don't know what the entry fee is, but I guess both are around 25 EUR each?

303 male entries - 7575 EUR incoming fees as per the above.
46 female entries - 12 of which outside of Italy. Now, to be fair, you've got the UK Ally Pally qualifier on Monday (it would confirm that Laura Turner and Paula Jacklin will not enter this); 1150 EUR in fees.

That is a huge mismatch.

Obviously I was referring to the World Pro and the other BDO "majors" in general rather than this individual event.

Strange, given the whole discussion has been about prize money for this event and similar opens, but I never was any good as a mind-reader...

Fantastic.

Is that a "soulless sports hall" they're playing their national open In?

With bucket seats on the basketball court for the spectators?

I was reliably informed only the PDC would play events in that ghastly sort of venue. :D

Wartless beats Sparkless in an awful final. 6-3
88 v 80 aves.

Montgomery thought he'd won it when he went 5-1 up, then missed 7 match darts across the next 2 legs before falling over the line.

Truly dreadful fayre.
