there are load of tables blocked off to the left (looking from the stage) right from the start. I assume theese are the VIP/players tables and so could be used to give away tickets, but I also assume they are not included in this comp as we will never know how many are used...?

In hindsight its probably too late to give a load away to the counties as well. No more county games between now and then either to get expressions of interest.

Surely someone at o2 management has expressed concerns by now? If any other event had sold 9% of tickets a month before it happened, or 42 for a session that seats 1600+, it would have been cancelled by now, but seemingly reality doesnt apply in this case.

That's a good point. If the O2 are still happy for this to go ahead, presumably someone's signed a contract underwriting any potential losses the venue may incur from having no-one show up to an event they're hosting.
I wonder who could have guaranteed them something like that?
