there are load of tables blocked off to the left (looking from the stage) right from the start. I assume theese are the VIP/players tables and so could be used to give away tickets, but I also assume they are not included in this comp as we will never know how many are used...?

In hindsight its probably too late to give a load away to the counties as well. No more county games between now and then either to get expressions of interest.

Surely someone at o2 management has expressed concerns by now? If any other event had sold 9% of tickets a month before it happened, or 42 for a session that seats 1600+, it would have been cancelled by now, but seemingly reality doesnt apply in this case.

That's a good point. If the O2 are still happy for this to go ahead, presumably someone's signed a contract underwriting any potential losses the venue may incur from having no-one show up to an event they're hosting.
I wonder who could have guaranteed them something like that?

Right, here's the final tally prior to the start of the event - I will keep an eye on it to see how many more they sell once it starts.

This total assumes that all the seats on the left of the stage (looking from the stage) have not been sold - except for tomorrow when it looks like 1 has been sold.

The total assumes that the third party seller has sold its allocation - very unlikely but the numbers they were given were small.

The total assumes that the tickets sold on the balcony are not shown as being sold in the stage area - if they are then there is an element of double counting but it is what I've assumed all the way through.

The total assumes that two tables at the front have not been sold.
