Aye, five percent plus two quid for every player, for events that have already started taking entries in and wont have budgeted for this whatsoever.

hard to actually read that.

But surely this should be introduced at the start of the season?
Organisers could argue on the basis that those comps already held, have been given an advantage. And as said above folks have applied for points without knowing this was to come.

It will be interesting to see the reaction to this. Seems like the WDF setting things in motion was a wise move by them because I can see a backlash to this. Will a comp have the guts to refuse to pay? I think so.

I look forward to paul and TT's thoughts.

they must be really desperate re their financial situation. But what a chronic way to go about this. They haven't a clue have they?

This is hardly going to raise them, not many ranked events between now and the end of Jan are they.

This has been obvious for months. Which makes the move from Lakeside that had both a crowd and a prize fund even more lunatic.

Lakeside might be a living in the 1970s hole, but it worked. Probably because the BDO is still stuck in the 1970s.

Can't see the World Pro happening. I really can't. Either the BDO will pull the plug or the venue will.

Just when you think it can't get any more embarrassing, The Jafia outdo themselves yet again.

Be a lot of mileage in this I reckon.
You could have a tournament where loads of players enter on the points chase, paying a few quid extra on their entry already. The org running it haven’t paid the fee to the BDO 7 days before, the Jafia announce it and then you are left in a position where you have to play in it anyway or risk losing the cost of room, flights and entry etc. Whilst not knowing if the fee will be paid in 28 days, meaning the points get allocated, or they don’t pay and no points are awarded.

A good example will be the Dutch Open.
NDB will be getting an invoice for about £1100 in January.
They are usually the kind of organisation that will put out a quick reaction to something like this.
So would expect them to let people know soon if they are carrying BDO ranking points or not.
