2020 o2 Prize Fund

Post by Ginge »

Reliably informed the mens is the same as 2019 and the womens has gone up.

Absolutely mental if there is no sponsor.

If any of the overseas players have got this, surely they want a guarantee its actually there before they travel.

Absolutely bonkers. They havent sold even half the amount to fund it before you remove other costs.

Question has to be who involved with the BDO currently that could reliably inform anyone has a single shred of credibility left ?

It is only a prize fund if they actually pay it out.

Is there a clause whereby the prize fund may be liable to change or is subject to blah blah?

In other words is it guaranteed?

So in other words, someone has been guaranteed discretion by yourself after leaking it to you in a matter of hours 😁

Surely nobody thinks BDO directors are so dumb they would offer a prize fund when they arent sure they have the money to cover it.

That could cause them all sorts of legal problems.

You would have to think that the players would band together and ask for proof that the funds are actually there and will be paid.

They could easy 'force' the funds to be held in escrow by a third party when would then confirm the funds are available as promised and if they are nto paid by a certain date then none of them play simples

Infact the QS bet with DBG is a good blueprint to follow

But if they haven't got the cash to pay out, then they'll fold and any legal stuff will be pointless.

Though if the BDO goes Bankrupt, does that mean all BDO directors would not be able to be directors of other companies?

Good question, and one that should be asked by the counties who in actual fact own the BDO. But, no they will sit on there hands and not give a flying fuck that Des Selectas is about to bankrupt the whole thing, they are more bothered about their monthly piss ups in working Men's Clubs in places like Hartlepool and Wigan! Des Selectas is the BDO equivelant of Lancashires Irene Mungins while every county chairman is the equivelant of Tommy Thompson. If they do not call an EGM and see a current bank statement and up to date accounts they should all be sacked by their members!
