Must have been because I don't think she's played any competitive darts for around 14-15 years. But it was a highlight :)
I remember the fuss at the time, there was loads of nonsense about the "sexiest woman in sport" but she was only noticed because it was relative compared to those she was playing.
Sure she played one of the Belgian opens not too long ago.
Are you saying she is not attractive David?
15 years ago she was hot for a female darts player. I'm saying it's all relative.
Linda Evangelista was not that fit.
She was crap at darts as well.

Absolute bullocks to dismiss Gullivers 10 world titles
Not all 10 of them, but the quality of opposition was generally poor in the early ones. And she's never had the balls to play against the men at professional level. She only won 2 titles with Anastasia in the field, just 1 with Lisa and Fallon and 0 with Suzuki.

David like his women black. And large. And from North Florida.
North Florida? Have they separated from the south?

Not really fair TBH as if you look at the averages Trina and Frans Hoenslaar(spl) where both averaging pretty good. In fact better than some of the more modern winner in some finals.

In fact just looking they have the highest combined average final in 2004 and Trina has 3 out of the 5 90+ averages to be hit at the women’s worlds.

But so was Taylor in many of the early PDC ones, and people are quick to dismiss those :WWWW:

Which is also a stupid arguement. Yes he may have not have won 3 or 4 of them perhaps in a combined field but it still doesn’t change the fact that he’s the greatest to pick up a dart by a long long way.

Would Trina have won 10 "world" titles in a unified field?

And she was hitting them on less generous boards. 2001 to 2007 was the period when she was at her best and then her standard of play dropped.

Let me quickly wolf down this Marmite sandwich, and I will take a look.

Was he? I didn't think so ;) He took on Lowe, Wilson, Anderson, Evans, Rees, Whitcombe, George, Deller, Gregory, etc. The tournaments were great and worth watching - could hardly say the same for Gulliver vs Kirk. Men's darts also had a history going way back with the NOTW, etc. So it wasn't like they were just starting out.

And yes I know you're trying to make a point, but you can't compare the early Embassy tournaments with the early women's championships. Deta was the best female player for a long time but didn't take part in the first nine tournaments, due to work or her PDPA membership.
