He was trolling, mate.
After his disparaging comments about several of the players and their families (which have been relayed), you’d think he’d know better.

Ashton
Hamilton
Kenny
Waites
EU:
Harms
Kleermaker
Telnekes didn't play at the O2, but he did play in the 2018 and 2019 BDO World Championships. So more generally I'd say 7 BDO players.

Could of been worse for the bdo. They have kept their world champs, and Mitchell and Williams. I wonder how many challenge tour events Mitchell and Williams will play this year though.
Would still be interested to see if the Wdf bring in a rule where their players can't play in a rivals TV events. That really would scupper tho BDO

You could say 8 as Jeff Smith played BDO and WDF events last year too, even 10 if you include the county players as they technically were part BDO players
Re: O2 players - who will get a Tour Card?
Well done to Ashton, Waites and Harms for proving their class, but their success should not distract from a wider problem with Q School. This format does not separate the wheat from the chaff.
An average player can turn up, have a good day, and win a card. A World Champion can turn up, be tired from competing at the O2, and not win a card. The set-up doesn't help either. It is a sterile floor event. Those who do well are not always going to be able to do well on TV, where it matters. Likewise, some rise to the occasion on TV and don't play as well on the floor.
The PDC need to sort it all out for next year.

Nobody has given an acceptable method how it can all be "sorted out". By all means, elaborate.

Or you could say 6 as the thread is about those who played at the O2 this year and got cards.DavidB wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 7:44 am1205 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 4:53 amUK:phil davies wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:06 am So if I’m right of the top of my head 6 players came through.

Or, to be pedantic, all of them are because they didnt hold PDC Tour Cards this time last week.

Were the poor little lambs too tired from throwing darts in a big empty room a week before? Some of them played one whole match at the O2. Poor things.Wazza180 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 8:17 am Well done to Ashton, Waites and Harms for proving their class, but their success should not distract from a wider problem with Q School. Sorry yes, was referring to the final line of 1205's post..."So more generally I'd say 7 BDO players."DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 8:29 amEh?
"O2 players - who will get a Tour Card"
"All of them"
You're going to have to explain that
Surely ALL of them were BDO players who won a TC because they never had one to begin with. You understandy de English now?

Didn't a few players win their tourcards back having lost them at the end of last year though? They wouldn't be BDO players.
