"you don’t always end up with all the money you see on the cheque."
If only there was a forum member who could explain to us how a headline amount of winnings doesn't necessarily translate directly into the bank balance...

We don’t want to give you that!
Re: Scott Mitchell
As an aside a player I spoke to yesterday said no money received yet. They have until a week tomorrow.TheVillan wrote:"you don’t always end up with all the money you see on the cheque."

Re: Scott Mitchell
Then what happens?
Re: Scott Mitchell
Heard a similar thing yesterday. Players still not been paid.Ginge wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 11:46 amAs an aside a player I spoke to yesterday said no money received yet. They have until a week tomorrow.TheVillan wrote:"you don’t always end up with all the money you see on the cheque."

Re: Scott Mitchell
Players can start making claims against the BDO. Since everybody except Wayne Warren earned 10,000 or less, they can use small claims and make the claim online.
Since the BDO isn't communicating their finances, it might be difficult to be more aggressive and put in a winding-up petition.

Re: Scott Mitchell
Where is the claim money going to come from?
Re: Scott Mitchell
We don't know, because the BDO isn't saying how much money it has.

Re: Scott Mitchell
I’d be surprised if the organisation could say anything tbh.
Re: Scott Mitchell
They already have. It’s nothing.

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.
I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists.

Good luck to Scott Mitchell. Has been a fine ambassador for darts for a number of years. Nice to see him be successful.

Yes. I always enjoy watching a player throw at 1mph, walk to the board at 0.3mph and take his darts out 1 at a time at 0.05mph purely as an act of gamesmanship.Moongoose McQueeen wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 11:30 pm Good luck to Scott Mitchell. He's clearly learned the evils of the PDC quickly.DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 5:37 amYes.
