Should there be more than 2 places available for the woman's worlds qualifiers?
With all the recent media attention should the ladies be offered more than 2 places at the next world championships. Before anyone says it yes there could be 3 ladies this year if Lisa Ashton has a good season.
Re: Should there be more than 2 places available for the woman's worlds qualifiers?
Strictly speaking it could be more than three if some of the other ladies get into the Pro Tour events via Challenge Tour.
It’s a remote chance but still a chance.
It reaffirms the point that everyone has the same opportunity regardless of gender.

If it stays at 96 players then the answer is simple: no.
Increase it to 128 and I could see it happen.

2 Players from a Ladies only qualifier is more than a fair representation in the meritocracy that is the PDC.
Over 5% of the field ,and in line with the places available at the Tour Card holder qualifier.

Can you please explain this for the simpletons, Oche doesn’t do percentages.

Without doubt no... The PDC are being generous offering 2 as Lisa Ashton has showed ladies can come through QS and Fallon showed they can compete once there..
Therefore really thete should be none and they take their chances in the open competition but if they want to have a ladies qualifier then 2 is fine as it is..

If we're talking female players that are realistically capable of going on TV and averaging something vaguely competitive, the list is limited to...
Ashton
Suzuki
Sherrock
O'Brien
Dobromyslova and Greaves at a stretch. There really isn't anything like enough strength in depth.

Theoretically, there are 96 places available for women if they all join the PDPA and qualify that way.
I actually don't know. Fallon's games were enjoyable, but there's some absolute dross in the women's game like Bo, Turner and Hedman. I don't want to see them anywhere near the event.

I go for 4 max. More chance of one of them winning.
Otherwise it might not happen again.
