Why? have you noticed the forum word count drop by 1000?
Ha, it wasn’t that long but he may have had second thoughts after he posted it.

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.

Still think Ginge is right.

Not OAP bashing or singling out those with serious health issues.

Can't understand why those who are 5 to 55 aren't just told to crack on as much as is sensibly possible.

These people are in the "safe" zone, could catch it, fight it and survive with very little complications. After a while they would have built up their immune system to kill of the virus.

Common sense says others stay at home, communities help them shopping wise etc. Those who work with vunerable people should be extra cautious too.
Thinking of one.

Those 5 to 55 year olds will still come into contact with those who are vulnerable.

Spanish football coach aged 21 years died of the virus recently as he had an underlying condition which had not been diagnosed yet.

Darn, the worlds scientific and medical experts advising governments on the best course of actions taking everything into account and all they had to do was pop on here and check out the Crusader.
We havnt got a fucking clue on what the best course of action is. There are times when you just have to accept there are people who know more than you. And accept their advice.

No no apparently its fine for posters to aim accusations at me without naming me, but not fine to retaliate with another anonymous accusation.

Even the scientists cant agree, different countries cant agree.

So why not let it play out with the vulnerable being cautious?

You are middle aged with a poor immune system (hundreds of thousands of people this applies to). You have a family and live in a well populated area.

Every single person around you ends up getting it (likely under your suggestions). How easy do you think it would be to avoid getting it and therefore avoid possibly dying?

I would expect those who come into contact with those vulnerable to be sensible.

My mum is nearlly 70, suffers with illness, suffered a stroke so we have decided phone calls are best option for now.

A friend who is 70 is on hospital in Yorkshire with a temp off 41.5, non responsive, suffers with alzhiemers and parkinsons. Will not risk visiting until its safe (he may not make it).

It wont go away by people hiding away from it. It will kill however many it kills whether it takes 1 month or 12 months.

All this incompetent Govt is doing is slowing it down causing harm to many many businesses.

I think you have a very idealistic view of how easy it is for people with families in well populated areas to cut themselves off. How do you stay alive without having any human contact for months.

Your suggestion, more people will get it. The more that get it, the more vulnerable the vulnerable are. It's simple altruism.

I do partially agree with you in that the current approach is neither here or there. I'd much rather we had France, Italy or Spains approach with a clear mandate rather than "advice" so that the govt dont have to take responsibility. Those other countries have promised that no businesses will be allowed to fail because of this. This corporation focused govt couldnt give a fuck about the common mans plight.

You are missing the point. They know it will kill who it will kill. But they cant flippantly say it could between 1 and 12 months. Their number one concern is NHS capacity, that is why they are doing what they are doing- the timing of the peak is vital. With respect you havnt a clue whether they are being incompetent in this respect. They know the capacity issues and they know the rates of increase and they know they have to spread the load so respect their expert advice.
