European championships 2009

Post by elnino550 »

I remember reading on SOD a few weeks back that this will be shown on Bravo, couldn't seem to find any information on their website. Anyone know if this is still happening and when it will be televised?

It's on a couple of days after the world matchplay,Which is much earlier in the calender than previous years.

hi all, just had an email from the pdpa confirming the euros.

Hi Ian

I apologise that I didn't get back to you yesterday. The answer to your question is it is being broadcast on BRAVO TV which is on Virgin Media .

It is good news.

Wonder what team will be working on the programmes.

Might cause a bit of debate. :argue:

Was mentioned on the old SoD that it would be the ITV pundit pairing of AWL and Mace. Can't remember who posted the info though.

if it is the itv crew it will be great,i wonder who will front it as the likeable matt smith is contracted to itv i think.andy goldstein will do for me as he knows his stuff.i hope they dont go for that lady who did the us open she asked way to many silly questions.
more darts on tv is great news and dont forget the german darts championship next year is also tipped for the screen(german tv)so a stream may be a possability.all in all positive stuff from the pdc.

Ah yes, Sarah Cawood? Think Tony Green was also part of that production. Didn't really work for me, all seemed a bit wooden.

Ta all.

Didn't remember that.

Be interesting to see how the darts coverage will stack up, viewing wise, compared to other stuff on Bravo.

Maybe they'll see a niche for a little weekly programme on darts?
