My opinion is that looking back in hindsight and with the way the q school has gone and how bad lakeside was this year uncle barry will feel a whole lot better about not getting his hands on the bdo., and saving the money he offered them.

whatever ever they worth then surely in his eyes is worth even less now

Didn't mean any disrespect but these figures were fairly straight-forward.

fair enough but I've not seen anyone else work out the value of the BBC deal, which I'm pretty confident to have got close to.

true, but that's more difficult to do, but what's your analysis of that then?

aaaaaaah if only my accountant would forget t/o from at least 4 other events/sources. ( note I mention t/o and not profit or loss because I am not in a position to assume anything ).

Actually that would be good for me if 4 ventures made profit, not so good if they made a loss to offset profit made in other activities

Well, I think its £1m to £1.2 over three years. But, as I said in my review (which Avalon seems to have ignored in his above post) I don't the details of any other small events they run, but assume theyare not significant.

well actually what you said was
the only two events that BDO ltd directly organise??).
it does have a question mark admittedly, but they organise 3 open events attracting 100`s of players, sponsorship, entry money for spectators etc.... they also have income and expenditure from the counties, if just one of these were to run at a big loss/profit every year then that can throw all your assumptions out of the window surely?

thats exactly what the questions marks are for, yes.
I also reference potential sources of 'other income' further down.
More than happy to take into account more info if someone can put some estimates agianst them please. I would be very suprised if the Opens make big losses/profits but as i say, I would love more info to build a bigger picture.
And its because of the exact problems you idenitfy that I have not bothered much with the PDC accounts - simply too many events

No they are not.
