I agree I would love to watch some of these great matches.............but I wouldn't want to pay for them.............. I'm a practising freegan.

Do you think the standard of some of these matches would be as high, if the players knew that they were being filmed?

I'm of the belief that we get incredibly silly/high averages in some of these pro tour matches, because there isn't the added pressure of a camera pointing at the board.

That said, it would be nice to see the odd event I guess.

A good point, but the cameras for streaming are tiny little things, after a few minutes I would think most players would forget they are there.

Seriously though, the closed doors nature of the pro tour does players no favour when it comes to preparing them for the big stage. Look at how well players like chisnall and Henderson can do when switching over. You don't get this long gestation period of learning to play onstage. Players like Mark walsh need to stop being pandered to and tolf they're better than they are because they can play well in closed doors qualification matches. What matters is on stage and on TV. That's where the money and prestige is.
