The Stars of Darts Sponsorship - Voting & Results

Post by spaceman70 »

The Player

Just so players are aware of what is expected from them should they win the sponsorship.

1. Their participation in forum discussions is not necessary but is welcomed, however the sponsorship membership will expect a report/write up from the player following any PDC tournament for 1 year. If the player wishes to add a write up/report for any opens they attend, that's entirely their choice.

2. No return is expected to the sponsorship pot for any money won on Pro Tour or European Tour events, however the player must repay 5% from any TV winnings over the year. That would increase to 7.5% should they reach the last 16 or beyond.

3. TSoD Patch must be worn at every tournament the player attends within the PDC both floor and TV for the period of 1 year.

That's about it, not much to ask really.

The Voting

The sponsorship pot for 2012 will close on the 22nd June.

There are currently 13 players on the list and voting will begin on the 25th June. The first vote will cut the list from 13 or more (should any other players come forward) to 8.

I hope to get everyones vote on the same day (will chase people if I haven't received them) so that the 8 can be announced on that evening. The next round of voting will commence the following day.

26th June, second round vote, this will cut the field of 8 to 4.

27th June, third round vote cutting the 4 to 2.

28th June final vote and winner announced.

Remember you get 4 votes for each £20 share you have. A few people have £10 shares they shall get 2 votes.

You may cast multiple votes for different players if you so wish on any of the voting rounds.

You must send your votes to both myself and skewball for varification, when you send a pm there is an option on the left of the screen to cc someone

Players up for consideration.

Andrew Gilding
Steve Maish
John Scott
Steve West
Paddy Meaney
Richie Howson
Peter Hudson
Matthew Edgar
Kirk Shepherd
Shaun Griffiths
Jim Walker
Dave Ladley
Ted Hankey.

Ok going into this next vote there are 571 votes to be cast. Starting Monday the first round will begin. I will endeavour to chase up as many votes as possible on each day.

However if people fail to vote on the day of each round I will accept a 90%+ vote. That's 514 votes represent a quorum or £285 of wasted money. :D

Make your votes count!!

Can we have a cut off point for each round of voting.

Like tuesday mid day for the last votes for the first round, and so on. It dragged out a bit last waiting around for some to cast there vote.

Right guys, voting will probably not go to plan this week. We had a terrible night last nigh with one of our daughters who was struggling to breathe. Took her to the out of hours doctor today who phoned an ambulance.

Dispite treatment at hospital today she hasn't improved much and has been admitted. My wife is staying with her tonight and once I get the other kids off to school I will be going back up there.

Please vote as normal and I will try and catch up when I can. Sorry guys.

Dave, take as long as you like bud, your nippers health is a bit more important.

As someone else said, just stick the vote back a week.

I don't know how long she will be in, she's not asthmatic but it came on really quick, yesterday evening. Think it has the docs baffled a bit. She's on IV drip, antibiotics and steroids but she had a temperature of 39 and her heart was racing at 180bpm. She's only 10yrs old so 1 of us has to be there all the time.

They have taken blood for culture but the results for that can take 5 days.

Maybe hold off off for just tomorrow at this stage and I'll keep you updated?
