Was there.............. Well i wasnt, but i was................ I was in the toilet at the time.... Trust me... As far as i recall i was beat by steve maish early saturday morning!!!! 4 -2... Came back tot able, and wylie said buy that man a pint.... Maishy went on to last 16 i think same yr, not saying i wudda done that thou!!!

What a way to win a final 
I guess he is the only person ever to do this on video - I can only remember his 170 out to win the 2005 World Matchplay equalled once by Ted Hankey too in the 2000 Lakeside - that pair will take some beating although Phil Taylor came very close to winning a tv title last year with a 9 darter - I think he missed the double from my ageing memory.
