Would love to see him back to his best, exciting player to watch and was my favourite growing up.

One thing Chris says in that interview and he wont ever say a thing with more truth in it.

"I can play darts"

Game needs players like him, bigtime. Its wether he needs the game or not

Mace is one of those enigmas, god most of us wish we had his talent! Unfortunately in this game you also need luck and attitude, the biggest being luck, I.e. the odd good draw and important double etc.

I am sorry but the sport of darts is littered with players that should have done better but havent. I dont think the sport of darts needs these players, the sport is doing just fine without them.

Chris Mason was a class player and who knows what he would have went on to achieve if he did not have to go to jail.

Ouch!
It's a shame the old sod is gone as Chris gave full and honest answers to all questions about his past, however its just that, a past and we should leave it there imo

Les Wallace for one. He won a worlds and masters, but could have gone on to win many more were it not for the personal demons he had to contend with.

Wallace hadnt got half the talent masoc had. Yes he has a worlds title to his name, but there is no contest between these 2 players.

I did not bring that up to be provocative Nikki. Far from it. But it must have had a major affect on his game and mental processes. Perhaps not though. He still reads here and perhaps he will talk about it.

Fordham, Burnett, Fitton. Plenty more that have not taken full advantage of the talent they obviously posses, for varying reasons.

Your opinion, I happen to disagree. What I will concede is that you know more about the game than I ever will. Wont ever stop me commenting though :D :D :D

Fitton i will agree on, i cant put my finger on why he hasnt kicked on in the game.

Fordham and Burnett have each lifted the world crown, i think they have in there time done well.

Heres one, a player that shud have won a world crown and hasnt
