Post by Rutger » Mon Feb 26, 2018 8:47 am

Hello everyone,

New member to the Forums. I've been reading for some time and decided to register.

41 yo male from The Netherlands. Grew up with darts on tv (BDO early 90s) and later everything PDC.

Regards,
Rutger

Thanks!

Rutger Hauer is 74 and I don't think he's watching darts :-P

I don't play darts seriously. Used to play in a local pub with friends and ofcourse at home, but none of that anymore.

It seemed like the right thing to do after quite some time.

And I would like to contribute or participate in some topics every now and then.

Great. Look forward to your future posts.

The best advice I can give you, is not to be put off if any of your opening posts are met with a negative response.

This is a great forum, which welcomes all opinions and input, and I am sure you will enjoy posting and getting stuck into the debate on here.

Thanks everybody.

I'm from the mid-eastern part of The Netherlands, near the German border. I live in the county of Gelderland, near the city of Arnhem.

I'm used to a wide array of forums, so I know all about newbies and trolls. But in this case I feel welcome already 8-)

Top 5 players? That's difficult! There's players I like because of their darting characters (adding entertainment next to skills) and there's players I like because of their darting style/abilities/accomplishments. And ofcourse player that are just likeable ;-)
To name a few: John Part, Steve Beaton, RvB, Les Wallace, Paul Nicholson, Dennis Priestley, Ted Hankey, Alan Norris, BvdP, VvdV.
