Agree, those Japanese, Canadians, Aussies et al see us as such a laughing stock that they want us to join the trans Pacific the moment we leave the shackles of the EU.Paddy McGinty wrote:We can now after extensive investigations but lets not jump to conclusions before all the facts are seen. As far as the Laughing stock goes we are still ridiculed around the World for our ridiculous Brexit attempt.DavidOwen67 wrote:Paddy McGinty wrote:Corbyn does talk some great sense, every lemming was pandering to the biased news companies, Boris telling everyone that the Russians were definitely to blame for the chemical attack but now we hear no one can confirm the origin....... And now we can.
Corbyn is still our saviour though........
As for Corbyn being the saviour, he couldn't save a Gareth Southgate penalty.

Oh give over, another one seduced by the worker share scheme and the we will give you a bigger house and more holidays plan. You, as I are old enough to remember the 70s and what a left wing union controlled labour government did to this country.DavidOwen67 wrote:Indeed. Jezza is sound.

Open your eyes Nick......the divide is so unjust. As soon as a left wing government get in power the establishment will bring it to its knees........Open democracy does not work....you can see its damaging effects throughout the World.nikkiboy wrote:Oh give over, another one seduced by the worker share scheme and the we will give you a bigger house and more holidays plan. The problem is Pads that without the establishment as you say the non establishment or lower classes would wallow in their own shit rudderlessly guiding themselves into oblivion and further poverty.Paddy McGinty wrote:Open your eyes Nick......the divide is so unjust. Capitalism is the only model out there that works, it may not work for those that don't work themselves but even under a redistribution of wealth equally system those same people would squander their money and come begging back for more handouts in no time at all.
People in need, sick, vulnerable and disabled people should be helped and looked after and those temporarily on hard times should be helped back to their feet. Those few who don't want to work or scam the benefits or disability system should be forced to work the same as everyone else or get nothing.
Oh and the establishment doesn't need to bring a left wing government to it's knees they just need to wait and labour will do that all by itself by virtue of it's massive spending programme and lack of knowledge on what makes for business growth.

It doesn't work for those who do work, many families only just about managing, it's not right let's have a fairer system so those that try to do the right thing no longer worry and struggle.....it's an absolute pisstake, never have I witnessed such a selfish divided nation moulded by the agenda of the stinking rich.

You're right Pads, I mean just look where communism is in charge, Russia and China, a much fairer system with state aid and free medical care for all - oh hang on...Paddy McGinty wrote:It doesn't work for those who do work, many families only just about managing, it's not right let's have a fairer system so those that try to do the right thing no longer worry and struggle.....it's an absolute pisstake, never have I witnessed such a selfish divided nation moulded by the agenda of the stinking rich.
Shall we look at the socialism experiment, Venezuela for example - wow how great is that!
Redistribution of wealth has never and will never work, if we give everyone in the country £1m pounds today some will invest it and watch it grow, some will build businesses out of it and some will spend it on sports cars, drugs and generally frit it away. Now the question is Pads, do we then go to those that have invested wisely, seen their money grow and take all their profit off of them to give to those that have pissed it up against the wall? How often do we do this and if we do then what is the incentive for people to invest wisely or build businesses?
This is what you and the Corbynistas are advocating, well this is what 'Paddy' is advocating, maybe the very hard working five holidays a year business owner behind the persona has a different view?

That's your warped view, Russia and China are not true communist countries and never have been.......but both militarily could erase the UK from the Earth at the wave of a hand, is that how you gauge a countries strength? or how many billionaires each can muster?nikkiboy wrote:You're right Pads, I mean just look where communism is in charge, Russia and China, a much fairer system with state aid and free medical care for all - oh hang on...Paddy McGinty wrote:It doesn't work for those who do work, many families only just about managing, it's not right let's have a fairer system so those that try to do the right thing no longer worry and struggle.....it's an absolute pisstake, never have I witnessed such a selfish divided nation moulded by the agenda of the stinking rich.

I am not a communist and certainly would not to go down that route, all I want to see is a fairer maybe limited social democratic system where people are rewarded for their input into society. Today tax payers will spend a minimum of 2 million on some shite royal wedding that's on top of 6.35 million spent on the earlier Windsor wedding. Was I asked if i wanted my hard earned spent on this? well the answer is no. How do you think the millions of struggling workers feel when they read news like this, the already affluent getting another handout at the expense of the taxpayers, seems austerity only affects the poor even though it was your rich successful friends who caused it.....enough is enough, it's about time the World woke up and see the lies we are being fed.

So you are saying that the disabled, old and unemployed should be cast out because they do not contribute to society? Can you explain how the already wealthy have gotten a hand out? You will no doubt state that the higher rate of tax has been lowered under the conservatives but raising the tax on the most wealthy actually generates less revenue, you are old enough to remember the 75% higher tax rate imposed by a socialist government and how successful it was - well successful in making anyone who earned above the threshold relocate abroard to countries with lower rates of tax.
The exact same happens with companies and the figures prove that lowering corporation tax INCREASES REVENUE becuase companies do not relocate of dirert their earnings through loss making subsiduaries.
Some people will have their heads turned by Labour's promise of shares for workers, sounds great doesn't it? well it does until you actuall look at the details of what has been proposed.
The worker 'share holders' will never actually own a share, they cab never cash it in or sell it on, the whole scheme is a Labour con to get more tax out of companies whilst courting the votes of the 'working man' by telling them a big fat lie that they will own shares in the company that they work for.
The facts:
10% of the shares of the company (over 250 employees only) will go into a fund for the workers, actually thepro labour BBC did a fact check on this and explain it better than I can:
Analysis: A smash and grab raid?
So the worker get a measly £500 extra a year whilst the company loses over a billion pounds which it could have invested in the future, only UK companies mind you so what will be the first thing they will do? move to Ireland like Google or Luxembourg like Amazon.By BBC business editor Simon Jack
Many companies offer incentives and discounts to employees who wish to build a shareholding over time. That is not the same as taking 10% of the company away from its current owners to stick in a fund for the workers and the government's benefit, which seems to be what the shadow chancellor is proposing.
For a start, the workers will not be able to buy and sell the shares - so they won't really "own" them in a traditional sense. They will be eligible to receive dividends on the shares up to a value of £500 per worker per year. The government gets the rest.
The Labour Party reckons this will raise about £2bn a year. It could end up much more. Let's take just one company - bumper dividend-payer Shell. Ten percent of its £12bn annual dividend comes to £1.2bn.
If each of its 6,500 UK employees got £500 each (totalling £3.25m) that leaves £1.116bn for the government. That's just from one company - every year. Wow.
The worker will end up getting fek all and the revenue to the treasury will plummet. Labour governments don't care about that though as they will just borrow and borrow knowing full well that in one or two terms they will e voted out and a conservative government will have to rebalance the books and that the conservative will get all the blame for their austerity measures.

Its a waste of time continuing this debate as you have already been brainwashed by the media. But lets just take one of your points, you say by raising the income tax threshold you will collect less tax....well why don't we drop it to just 5% and collect a lot more......I'm afraid like many you are blind.
