He's not quite resigned Wayne, just pulled out of the season. It remains to be seen whether he'll defend his world crown in Sheffield or even play on our screens again - personally I think never say never and he'll be back soon...

He has until next week to decide apparently, that's when the cutoff for Worlds entries is.
