Lucky not to be down to 10 men, or even 9. If this was England, all the nay-sayers would be hammering them for a performance like this.

Lets get this into perspective here, England would of won the game only for a horiffic blunder by Green (who I felt sorry for) and could of won by 2 or 3 goals, heskey missing 2 sitters.
The USA are no world beaters by any means but what they are is a very very dogged and hard side to break down, for instance Inter Milan were no way the best side in this years Champions League but through hard work and good organisation they won that tournament.England will win there next 2 games of that I have no doubt and with a bit more confidence going into the last 16 are a very dangerous side. :CDDD:

I'm sure most England fans would be happy with a win and a good performance. I know I will be. Why should they have to win by 4 goals?!

Remember that Brazil only beat North Korea by 1 goal. France, Portugal and Italy all failed to win and even in victory Holland failed to impress. So England aren't the only team who have had a slow start.

If they don't, I can't see them winning thier group. They will come second on goal difference!
And that's a Fact!!

There's no need to get flippant, I'm only trying to lesson your disappointment.

If it's any consolation I think England will definitely qualify for the next round, but they may only finish 2nd in their group, which you have to admit is a pretty poor performance seeing they're in one of the easier groups.

Just think, if they can't even win their group, what chance of they of winning the World cup, pretty much none I should think.

Just trying to be realistic my friend! :bat:
