The Ashes 2013

Post by theflatman »

Well done England. It got a little close for me but we took it in the end. A few talking points - Broad not walking, the review for the last wicket.

Absolutely buzzing we won it!

Next test from Lords begins on Thursday.
Best Leg: 11 darts

The most boring sport in the world, I'd rather watch a Dennis Smith v Justin Pipe best of 137 match with Gaydrian doing the calling and Bradders the nodding ginger dog marking

Have actually watched a bit. Was close at the end. Sky are allowing free viewing through live Youtube channel for outside the UK. So felt I had to take advantage.

You must really dislike it haha! I've grown up with it and can't understand how people can't like cricket.

Roll on Thursday at Lord's! Both teams will have to up their game I believe.

Superb game!

Bearing in mind all the Aussie fuss over Broad not walking, why didn't Haddin walk for the final wicket?
He knew he'd hit it and was out, no different to Broad's.

Bloody hypocritical convicts!

I couldn't believe the review. At first, noticing Englands half-arsed appeal, I thought it was merely tactical. Then on the slo-mo I heard a big noise and a tiny heat spot on the bat. I was appealing in my living room! Brilliant, controversial, end to the match but England let Australia get close enough for my liking.

I've been getting texts off a few aussie's I know calling me names so I think 'shackle draggers' is a good reply to them.

What's the difference between Australia and a yoghurt?

2nd test going great at the minute. England have a first innings lead of 250 with the Aussies only having 1 wicket left.

Australia can't compete in this test. Well done Joe Root though. He was always capable of performing like that at international level.
