Tour de France 2014

Post by ChrisW »

Really looking forward to this. Again a UK start. And in God's own country Yorkshire.
Anyone fancy a tip for the winner?

Contador. I really hope he doesn't, but the Dauphine didn't give me much confidence in Froome.

Watching Eurosport coverage of the introduction of the teams. Pretty awful.
Sky team comes on stage as finale and an interview with Froome. After half his first reply they cut to Valverde in the private interview area.

It is going to be a close scrap I think this year. No Quintana.
Think Valverde will have a good tour.

Its a shame Quintana isnt there. Really hope Contador doesnt win for obvious reasons. Froome is a robot with zero personality and I just cant take to him, therefore Froome will win. Hes so good in the mountains.

My mates are all off to watch the first three stages. Wish I was to.

I doubt you know anything about cycling. Prove it by posting a picture on here of you in all of your cycling gear.

Can't stand MMIL's. I cycle every day but refuse to look like a dick.

Froome is out. Shocker! Those slippy Roubaix roads.

Great stage from Nibali.

Not sure he's got the form to carry the yellow all the way to Paris but an awesome showing nonetheless.

And BOOM for Monsieur Boom

Contador out now. Great chance for Team Sky to still make the podium this year

Give it to Nibali now.

He'll do enough in the mountains to cover anything he loses in the TT on the penultimate day.

There's 1 "hilly" stage and 5 mountain stages remaining (yesterday was the 1st official mountain stage) and if Nibali stays fit he'll be minutes and minutes clear by the time the TT comes around on stage 20.
