It's an "It's 'our' year" post.

Just one of infinity things I despise about soccer.

And it's that easy.

I should probably explain that there are many varieties of football. The one Mr Deacon is thinking of (soccer) is an English word, often but not definitively attributed to England captain Charles Wreford-Brown as an abbreviation of "association" so as not to confuse it with other codes of football, mainly rugby football.

Gaelic, Aussie rules and American are other codes of football, but you're definitely thinking of soccer.

Nobody has ever said that in the Rugger Bugger world.

Doesn't make them right.

Football is any number of games, many played in the UK.
Soccer is specifically Association Football which I believe is the particular variation you prefer.

I prefer Rugby Football, so I use the word Rugby to be clear on that and help avoid confusion with the other codes of football.

Be a lamb and do the same.

Was going to put a bet on Celtic to qualify for next round. Realistically dont think there is any chance, but a modest bet would have provided interest.

For me, 25/1 would have been the lowest odds I would have had a punt on and Bet Fred are the best at 20/1 with Coral offering totally ridiculous odds of 12/1. Have settled on us winning tonight at 11/2.

Remember going to the Mestalla back in 2011. The incline of the top stand is incredibly steep, so much so that there is a rail in front of every seat.

Those odds are pathetic should easily be a minimum of 33-1 for them to qualify. Even that’s pretty low in my books.
Much as it pains me Phil, I have to agree with you.

Would be a phenomenal result, and would be up there as one of our greatest ever away results in European competition.

Purely accidental foul by Toljan. He didn't even see the Valencia player.

Celtic have played really well, but curtains for us after the sending off. :banghead:
