I had the great pleasure of watching him play for the Cardiff Blues, news of him joining the side spread like wild fire and there must have been three times the normal people at the arms park, most just to see him. Fantastic player and a great ambassador for the game, it does just go to show that no matter how big, strong and fit you are illness can strike at any time, 40 - that's no age. R.I.P. Jonah Lomu

Very sad news - another person from the game of rugby gone too soon. There's been a worrying spurt of them lately.

Yeap he was an awesome attacking weapon. One on one 99% of the time you would not stop him. Afterall, he was 6'6" tall, weighed 122kg and could sprint 100m in 10.6 seconds. How'd you like getting in the way of that!
After rugby he did so much for sick kids in hospital and charities, way more than any other athlete/sports person going around. He was a humble giant of a man.
