Richie hangs up his boots today after 148 test caps.

One of the greatest, if not the greatest All Black of all time, Richie retires at the top, World Champion. He has no interest in playing professional rugby for big money in Europe or Japan, he played for the love of the game, and to represent his country.

Good on ya mate, a true Kiwi.

And yes, the greatest Rugby player on the planet does deserve a thread of his own. I could also add he was asked to be knighted two years ago and turned it down. As he said he was not worthy. He was asked yesterday if he was offered a knighthood again if he would accept it, he said "dunno" didn't really care about that stuff. Can you imagine what all those toffee nose stuck up English pricks would say if offered to be a 'Sir'. Fuck the line would go around the globe.
