Mosconi Cup

Anyone watching this?

One of my favourite sporting events of the year - granted it is better with the infamous Earl "The Pearl" Strickland and his histrionics!

Europe 6-4 up after Day 2, but think the standard has been significant lower than usual years.

The American commentary is very one sided too! But kinda funny at the same time!

Not really bothered watching since the days of Steve Davis & Jimmy White playing in it. Used to enjoy playing it myself although the effort of doing the big breaks usually ended up with a mis-cue. :)

I enjoy it and watch it every time it's on.

We should win from 9-6 up

Europe having won each of the 3 sessions 3-2, have been by far the better team. However USA only need 1 decent session to turn this round. Am watching the Celtic match at the moment, but as soon as we beat Fenerbache, it will be back onto the Mosconi Cup for me, and expect any 2 out of Karl Boyes, Darren Appleton and Niels Feijen to win there singles matches comfortably.

Yeah Europe should win from here. Deuel and van Boening who should be the USA key players have been awful.

Hoping it goes closer than 11-6 mind so there's something on TV to watch till a decent hour. 11-8 will do fine!

What a frame from Feijen there to make it a hill, hill match. Although Bergman has the break, if he does not run the rack, Niels will win this match.

Bergman choked big time.

Ball in hand with 8 and 9 open on table easily cleared by Niels.

10-6 as opposed to 9-7 is massive for Europe.

Bites leading 4-2 in this match so looking good.

I'd rather win 11-6 Crispy. Stuff them by as much as possible.

Felt a bit for Bergmann, been their best player.

I know what you mean about winning 11-6, just for watching more pool I'd take a 11-8.

It's like watching darts - you don't want it to end!

SvB wins the deciding frame. 10-7 now.

Battle of the debutants now then! Skyler Woodward (honestly?!?) again Albin Ouschan.

Just started watching the 2016 Mosconi Cup. For me this, along with the start of the PDC World Championship, epitomises the start of Christmas.

And this year both played at Ally Pally.

Yep, got it on myself. Good break from the darts which we had throughout November before we get in to the Worlds.

4-1 overnight to Europe, looking good so far - although I thought we had the run of the balls a bit last night.

Must admit, I do miss Earl Strickland and his antics!!

A great comparison. The Pearl at the Mosconi Cup and the Count at the Grand Slam.

Both multiple world champions. Both people who everyone wants to watch love him or hate him. Both people who should be playing on tv

7-2 up Europe.

Last match carried over to try and extend to Friday I'm guessing.

11-3 Europe win then.

23rd event. USA 11-11 (1 draw) - 7th European win on the bounce (a record).

Austrian Albin Ouschan the MVP.

The Americans an absolute mile off the pace, and there seemed no team spirit either. SVB was terrible as well.

First time in years I've hardly watched it. It's boring.

You know it is getting close to Christmas when the Mosconi Cup is on.

Laura Woods doing the interviews in Vegas. At least she will not need to put up with Taylor being an arsehole.
