The Rugby Thread...
Re: The Rugby Thread...
Good win for England today. 61-21. 7 tries. 'Hammered' the phrase used by bbc sport.

They did have a chance, right up until the sin bin in the second minute, lost 13 points from there and then their best player Hogg off with a head injury and his replacement off as well forcing major reshuffles and people playing out of position. That was it, no coming back from there against a good side.ifm wrote:But, but, but they had a chance, in fact i was told i knew nothing about rugby when i suggested otherwise......ChrisW wrote:Good win for England today. 61-21. 7 tries. Congratulations to England on winning the Grand Slam for the 2nd consecutive year, the first time this has been achieved in 25 years., and setting a record of 19 consecutive matches won.

Well done to France, great exciting game.......well done to Ireland, dug deep and held on well.........and well done to England for winning the tourny once again.
Wales, Italy and Scotland ought to have a serious think about whether they are suited to the game of Rugby. Don't really think they have the strength and commitment needed to play a physical game like Rugger. The Scots should stick with their curling, the Italians their running away and the welsh with their leek growing.

Leek growing and heroin addicts don't make ideal candidates for top class sporting teams......

Re: The Rugby Thread...
Phenomenal game, very hard on Wales to go down in that way especially as the first French try came from a suspect lineout. Thought it was their best performance of the championship outside of the last 20 minutes against England just unlucky to come up against a mercurial French side on one of their best days.
Re: The Rugby Thread...
To be fair in possession 79 minutes 10 seconds on the clock and we can't run the clock down without giving away a penalty, didn't deserve it.

Well played Scotland.
Calcutta cup win 2 years on the trot, but have to say it is great to see us get a bit of luck for a change.
