Re: The 2016 Olympics thread...
A true indication as to how countries rank.....USA 23rd, China 38th.
So considering how they have far larger groups of athletes at home to compete against and hone their skills, they don't stack up as good as they should.

No, no I didn't. Your point is that they'd win it every year and only had to turn up. I pointed out that they won only 1 in 5 attempts.Agent 86 wrote:Owen missed the 2000 Olympics there.

Not only do I love the sport I've been to watch it live on both my trips so the USA.
The Yanks in the bar I used on the second visit found it highly amusing that a Brit knew a lot about baseball and would discuss it with them. Going in in a "Crash Davis" replica shirt also helped.

America has the biggest "ball clubs" but those teams are full of international players, particularly from Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Canada and Puerto Rico. Not to mention Japan, South Korea and Mexico.

Daveo confirming America also has the biggest Baseball clubs and do not mention Japan, Korea or Mexico, as he is a Trump supporter obviously.
