Now that would have been a great bet.

betting after a name rarely pays (I don't do the horses anymore btw). But about 32 (ish) years ago there was a horse named: "super punk".

Backed it each way (probably 50p - I was on the dole at the time). Came 3rd at 50-1.

Next time out it was 16-1. Told me mate to back it. Must win with that name. went crazy and put a massive £1 bet on it. £17 return! Sweet when on the dole in about 1984/85.

Funny how you remember these things when prompted.
