Ferjani Sassi

Took that penalty really well, given the pressure of equalising against the eventual World Cup winners. :DDDD:

Thought Kane did well with both goals. England now look like certainties to lift the trophy.

Brazil, Argentina, Spain et al underdogs.

England will certainly be going home. I guess the only question is, will it be after the Group Stages or at the conclusion of the Round of 16.

Not at all. My opinion is in line with the English Media, and we all know they are never wrong.

The Scottish never cease to amuse me during world cups. Totally obsessed with England losing that they miss most of the action.

No obsession, just that we Scots have an objective opinion based on the respective abilities and form of all the teams, and this objectivity differs somewhat from that of the jingoistic one adopted by the English media and fans.

In all honesty Chris, how well do you think this English team are going to do in this World Cup.

No idea as ever. Yet you Scots always seem to have an opinion.
Most world cups and Euros I have had the bonus of supporting Holland. And Wales, Scotland and Ireland/ROI when they took part.

Tell you what. 11 v 11 is amatuer. Should be 2 a side and we can get the lads from the local takeaways to team up and make it a truly global event.

Haven't seen much of the World Cup so far due to work commitments, but off today so going to watch all 3 games.

Thought Denmark vs Australia was a decent match, but have to say seeing those Peruvians in their white shirts with the red sash is giving me nightmares, remembering the World Cup of 1978.

That Cubillas has a lot to answer for, but have to say this was a fantastic free kick.

Sounds like the late Arthur Montford on commentary.

Argentina now hoping that Iceland dont beat the awful Nigeria tomorrow.

Surely a good time now to bet on a draw between Croatia and Iceland

The best odds available on that draw went from 13/5 to 21/20 within the space of 20 minutes last night. Might be even lower now.
