Well that's me off to watch the England vs Belgium match on the big screen whils in the hotel pool in Mexi Mexico.
Always support the team with Celtic players representing their country so will be firmly behind Dedryk Boyata and Belgium in this match.

Don't think the loss tonight will make any difference.

England were pretty poor tonight but would Still make them 50/50 to win against Columbia.

Neither team was great, it was only one good goal that decided it. People read too much into these things.
Bit worried about Pickford. Championship keeper.

Don't think there has been a stand out team going into the knock out stages.

Brazil have looked good in patches, but still think Argentina will come through and win.

Zero chance of Argentina winning it terrible defence and midfield they were overrated before the tournament and now they have showed their true mediocreness don’t see how they can be backed. I think Brazil will win it who were my pick before the tournament I have a feeling they will be playing suprise finalists Croatia who are a really good team. Hopefully for my bet though Uruguay get it done.

that has to be to the most bitter and twisted comment so far about the world Cup from a Scostman. Just so wrong in every way
Pretty accurate though. Colombia in the Last 16, and the winners of World super powers Switzerland vs Sweden in the quarters should they get through.

A Scottish mate over here said the same. I doubt Colombia is such an easy match. Quarters neither.
One impressive result and England are all of a sudden world beaters.

What's the alternative - Joe Hart!!! the world's worst keeper who is incapable of catching a ball.

Once again, no on e has said england are world beaters, not even the press. It's just made up by bitter Scots. No england fan I talk to thinks that.

A few of the pundits have started to piuick them to win it Gary Neville and David Beckham for example both deluded IMO. Colombia is their big match as they havent won a knockmout game since 2006. If they get past that then they should make the semis and that would be a very good acheivement for them.

Anyway I'm still backing a Brazil v Croatia final though I hope for my bets sake that Uruguay somehow do it.

Looking forward to the Last 16 starting today. Think both these matches could be good.

Hopefully Argentina play much better than in the Group Stages. Tough half of the draw, and whatever team comes through will have deserved to do so.

Thought both games today were excellent.

France and Uruguay well deserved winners.

CavanI will rightly take all the plaudits for his 2 goals, but have to say that Saurez was ansolutely brilliant.

His little performance on the touchline about 20 minutes towards the end was utterly pathetic.

Wasn't it just. Not even touched and performed his dying Swan act. Shame that such a great player has to resort to this.

Well, can James, Falcao and Co derail the England juggernaut that scraped a win against Tunisia, put 6 past the Dog and Duck X1 and lost to a reserve Belgium side.

We can but hope.

We would never hear the end of it. Samaritans on speed dial.
