The decision to hold it in Octobr is lunacy. Its been put back this far now because of the Yanks and their FedEx end of season playoffs.

Move it back to September in future and we might be alright.

It has to be one of the best settings for an international tournament around, apart from the Milennium Stadium that is, oh thats in Wales as well isn't it, build to budget and on time as well (ahem wasn't Wembley miles over budget and way over time?).

Indeed, but had the event been held at the normal time of year (1/2 weeks beforehand), this situation may have been avoided.

And even if it hadnt, holding it around the 20th September would have given organisers extra light at the start and end of each day to catch up. As it is, they all trudged off at 1845.

This is all the Yanks fault with their silly FedEx Cup thing. Its pushed the Ryder Cup back to October. Ridiculous.

Yes, out of all the European countries that could have hosted it, only Wales has rain.

The Celtic Manor is a fine venue, the golf course being purposely built for the Ryder Cup.
