Sad end to a bad world championships. I might be in the minority but seeing the likes of Ali Carter and Graeme Dott in the latter stages doesn't excite me. I think the standard of snooker plateaued in the late 90s/early 2000s, and has steadily declined ever since.

I also felt that the latter stages of the World Championships this year lacked a little charisma.
