Tennis Talk

Post by Mr Glass »

The French Open starts today.. :DDDD:

Nadal unbeatable on clay at the moment and is a strong favoutite to 'reclaim' his French Tilte from defending Champion Roger Federer.

Masive first round match for Andy Murray tomorrow against dangerous unseeded player and local favourite Richard Gasquet. Gasquet coming off the back of a tournament Win last week, so Murray got his work cut out right from the off on the red clay.

Predictions:-

Nadal to beat Tsonga in the Final.
Murray to lose tomorrow to Gasquet. (hope not though)

Rafa going for his 5th Roland Garros triumph and 7th Slam.
Federer going for his 2nd French Title and 17th ( :D ) Slam overall.

I'd still go for Federer to win Wimbledon, but yeah congrats to Rafa - at this rate he's going to smash Borg's men's record of 6 French Open titles (I don't count the 8 won by Max Decugis as they were all won when you had to be a member of a French tennis club to compete lol). How many do you guys think Rafa can win? I can see him winning at least 8.

I see Federer's out now, didn't like his interview afterwards, blamed a "bad back" for losing, never gave any credit to his opponent, don't like him no more, arrogant and selfish pig.

There is only one winner I'm afraid, and I believe he'll be from Spain.

All depends on those dodgy knees Murrays got to be aggressive and prolong the match. Murrays a top class player but Nadal is an all time great.

I agree.
Normaly Federer give all the credits to his opponent, but this time he blamed his self.
I can't believe it. Federer was not playing bad or something, berdych played awesome
I hope he goes all the way now and play like he did as yesterday then he has a good chance to win it

Federer looked really old out there against his younger and more aggressive oppenent. I reckon this could be the end for Roger now regarding Winning anymore Slams.

Murray looking impressive, but now comes the real test as he faces the World number one Rafael Nadal. I can see it going five sets with the Spaniard edging it to make his way into the Final to face Tomas Berdych.

Ive been watching Nadal throughout this year and I think he now has the class to win Wimbledon, I know grass is not his favourite surface but I think he will still win this year.
