I would of found room for him in my squad somewhere (I would of taken the reserve left back out) his form hasnt been the best since the injury so you can see the reasoning behind it-

No real surprises in the squad.

I felt Heskey was always gonna go and Walcott has hardly played.

Most of the 7 who weren't picked ain't international footballers.

he plays for Man Utd ;)
if he played for one of the smaller clubs he wouldn't be anywhere near the England squad

RE: Carrick.

Surely to be overrated, enough people have to rate you highly in the first place? Every single United fan I know thinks he's decidedly average at best, although IMO his passing ability is important as possession is key in the World Cup. I don't think he deserves to play in the first team, but he's better than the other central midfielders that have been left out.

Heskey's inclusion? Not really surprised. For me Bent is too similar to Defoe, and neither of them would make a great strike partner for Rooney. Sounds harsh after the season they've had but you need Rooney's partner to offer something different and, for all of their faults, players like Heskey and Crouch provide that. That being said, Heskey's scoring record is absolutely atrocious so I hope Crouch starts.

When u put englands team side by side with the likes of brazil, SPain, even italy, it doesnt look good, so many flaws within the team...

Starting with whatever keeper he picks, none of them are that reliable....

Right back is also an issue, thou i think Terry and ferdinand are excellent...

Midfield, i think the best 2 players there will actually struggle to be picked, Joe cole and G Barry....

Upfront, if it wasnt for Rooney i wud not even bother booking the team hotel and flights...

Not a strong team....
