What's the general consensus here re The Olympics? Good thing/bad thing, looking forward to it? Anyone got tickets?

Personally I'm really looking forward to it, but gutted I didn't get any tickets. My brother managed to get Weightlifting and Basketball though.

I did get to see the torch go through my town last Saturday though and that was pretty exciting, thousands came out for it.

Sports like Football and Tennis are taking the magic away for me.

Also not knowing who's clean or high as a kite means any WR's are looked at suspiciously. The BOC had the perfect deterent by banning athletes for life for drugs offences but the courts have overturned this.

If it's on I'll watch it but I won't be upset if I miss any action.

This was an error made in London. Us jocks would never be so stupid.

On the Olympics front, I dont think I have ever been so excited about a sporting event. Bring it on, I will be watching as much as I can including all the obscure sports. All the Olympic channels are on sky so every sport gets broadcast.
