Film Buffs
Re: Film Buffs
slightly dodgy quality but the best trailer of Ong Bak.
Unbelievable film, a must see. Few years old now and 2 and 3 have/are following.

Been re-watching many of Hitchcocks classics over the last month or two. Very hard to pick an absolute favourite, but these would certainly be near the top of my list :-
Rope
Dial M For Murder
Rear Window
Psycho
Vertigo
Shadow Of A Doubt
What a genius that man was.

Tie a yellow ribbon was a song Dave, I believe you mean She Wore a Yellow Ribbon?Dave33 wrote: John Wayne In Tie a yellow Ribbon great western.
Westerns are my favourite genre and there have been some great directors and stars over the years such as -
Anthony Mann who directed James Stewart in classics like Winchester 73, Bend of the River, The Far Country, The Naked Spur and the Man from Laramie.
Budd Boetticher directed Randolph Scott in Seven Men from Now, the Tall T, Ride Lonesome and Commanche Station.
Howard Hawks colaborated with John Wayne for Red River, Rio Bravo and El Dorado.
John Ford also struck up a famous partnership with Wayne in Stagecoach, Fort Apache, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, The Searchers and the Man who Shot Liberty Valance.
Sam Peckinpah made some brilliant westerns such as Ride the High Country, Major Dundee, the Wild Bunch and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid.
Sergio Leone introduced us to the spaghetti western with a Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and the Good, the Bad & the Ugly. He then followed that up with the superb Once Upon a Time in the West.
And Clint Eastwood went on to make High Plains Drifter, the Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider and Unforgiven.
Where's my horse?

Yes, indeed you do have "loads more"....... most of them in that grotty carrier bag
Re: Film Buffs
Watched Saw VI yesterday. Seems to be an improvement on the last few, but will watch it again with the directors commentary so I understand better what it was all about
Just ordered 'Audition' & 'Ju on' on Amazon. Look very good on the trailers.

I really did laugh out loud at that.
Slightly concerned that you and Chiss were viewing samples together?

Tony is without doubt the weirdest film you'll ever watch. The two smackheads he befriends at the phonebox aren't acting, they have to be real because nobody can act that good.Guzzy wrote:Watched Sex & Drugs & Rock N Roll last night very good.
