Read that Robert Englund was very put out that he wasn't approached to star in the re-make.

Can't see why he was put out, the franchise died a death. Not a fan of all these remakes and rehash movies myself

Me neither really, but still get suckered into going along to see them.

Did think the 'Texas chainsaw massacre' remakes were top notch though. 'Texas chainsaw massacre, The Beginning' was every bit as good as the original chainsaw IMO.

Am I one of the rare film buffs who actually thinks that 'Hannibal' was better than 'Silence...'.???

Great series of 'Lecter' films though, which I would put in this order :-

Hannibal
Silence of the lambs
Manhunter
Red Dragon
Hannibal rising

Definately think that William Peterson is a better Will Graham than Edward Norton, but Hopkins definately improved the Lecter character.
