1985 BDO World Darts Championship

The 1985 event was the last time it was held at Jollees, which shut after the end of the tournament.
John Lowe reached his 5th final by overcoming former champion Keith Deller in the quarters (a match in which Deller recorded the tournament's first plus 100 average of 100.29) and fellow England team mate Cliff Lazerenko in the semi-final.
Unfortunately for Lowe he found reigning champion Eric Bristow waiting for him in the final at the peak of his powers with the Crafty Cockney racking up his 4th title in a 6-2 victory.
