1990 BDO World Darts Championships

1990 saw the ascent to the throne of Stoke's Phil Taylor - a position he would rarely let slip out of his grasp for the rest of his career.
We also saw the first ever 9 darter at a World Champinshiop when Paul Lim made himself £52000 richer during his 2nd round over Jack McKenna.
The final was a master meets apprentice affair with the apprentice Taylor crushing Eric Bristow in a 6 sets to 1 victory to claim the first of 15 (to date) World titles.
