A Foreword written by Bobby George and is shown below

When Colin Saunders told me he was going to compile
a Complete STATS record of the
Embassy and Lakeside World Darts Championships
from its start in 1978…
I thought yes, mate, good luck!!

10 years on and he has done just that! and what a read..
if you ever wondered who was in the line-up in 1978 or 2000,
how many points scored over the last 34 years,
how many players went head to head
then this book or BIBLE (as I call it) has it all!
Colin has been involved in the sport of darts for many years
And this compilation has been a labour of love and patience!
Good on yer, Col!

A news item was also posted on the BDO web site and this is shown below.
NEW BOOK of World Professional Darts Championships Statistics
Former BDO Director and county official Colin Saunders has compiled the definitive record of the Embassy and Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships - detailing every statistic from their inception in 1978 to 2012.

The two volume publication by Dartbybooks will be available from mid February 2012 after completion of the 35th Championships in January.
The comprehensive project has taken over ten years to produce and when published
will be the only complete record of these great Championships.

Volume One includes among other stats and photographs: All Matches and players listed by surname – with opponents Listed in chronological order, plus a second listing by opponents name, which gives the head to head matches listed in chronological order.
These listing gives the match number, both players names, country, averages and match scores.
Information on all players, rounds, venues and yearly and accumulative totals are also included within Volume One, as are photographs of the Champions, officials, behind the scenes and audience shots. The front page of all the programmes are also included.

Volume Two contains the completed draw sheets, all score sheets, plus match, player, round and
yearly summaries covering 35 years.
