They were a fiver each the DVDs. Down to 2 quid each if you bought a lot.

I found a link with some more information. It says that Basgooner received over £107,000 in payments, and sold nearly 4,000 DVDs, although it only talks about 9 years rather than 13 years. Apparently, confiscation orders are ongoing, probably referring to the other 4 years.
It doesn't say he sold 4000 dvds, it says they seized 3700 dvds when they raided his home.

If he had 3700 in stock on the day they raided then how many did he sell!

From the link:

"In that time he produced and sold nearly four thousand DVDs of sporting events both nationally and worldwide, and been paid more than £107,000."

That's some feat, getting paid £26.75 per DVD.

I would take that as meaning he produced dvds of nearly 4000 different events, i.e. I would assume that the 3800 in stock were each different event disks labelled and ready to duplicate to order.

The prosecution can only go by the evidence that they've obtained, and which can be proved beyond all reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Maybe the BDO could release and flog DVDs of their events they could do with some capital in the funds.

Really? As he was selling DVDs from April 2004 to March 2017, 4,000 DVD orders in that timeframe would mean almost 26 orders per month! Surely nobody could do that much? And the link mentioned a 9 year period rather than the 12 years and 11 months altogether. 4,000 DVD orders over 9 years exactly would mean 37 orders per month!

Yes that will be right. For instance an ET darts event. would include 2 discs would come to UKP15 incl postage.
PL season (15discs) 70UKP incl postage.
10.900 with 4000 orders comes to average 27UKP oer order.

Bass was doing the less affluent darts fans a great favour with his DVDs, he should be applauded as a working class hero not ridiculed in this childish fashion, some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.....

This is disgusting. So I want to buy a DVD of the 1992 Embassy and the guy selling it can be jailed? Effing hell. So ok it was copyrighted but who was he denying income? Who else was filling the market? A scandalous arrest, a scandalous case and a scandalous sentence if he goes to prison. No doubt some idiot off here or the other forums grassed him up. Pathetic. Sorry for you troubles Basgooner.

I think it's more to do with him selling at least 10,000 of them.
