I know theres a schedule pre-published but disappointing to see Smith and Anderson on again in the PM session, given Suljovic and Newton last game has all the hallmarks being a game where the crowd will just be chanting at each other again with no interest in what is going on!

The schedule was indeed already made and I think Sky felt wade would be playing instead of Suljovic. If they could, they would have revised the schedule.

Today could be the day the Bull puts one foot in the Premier League :)

Well, not quite.

Jenks ain't gonna get a wildcard so need to make top 4.

If he makes the final, that is guaranteed.

If he makes the semis, he needs Whitlock to lose tonight, AND Lewis not to make the semis.

No other scenario applies. Jenks has to make the Last 4 himself minimum. Given the above, he probably has to get to the final.

At least they haven't finalised the 1/4 final schedule yet. In previous years, the number 1 and 2 seeds (or the players to come through their section of the draw) would be on the evening session of the 1/4 finals. That would of meant a potential Barney v Anderson game being on Saturday afternoon and Newton/Mensur v Jenkins/Walsh being on Saturday night. Now it'll be interesting to see what they do if all the big names win today. What game will be on Saturday night alongside Taylor v Webster? Barney v Anderson or Lewis v Whitlock?? I suspect, Barney v Anderson if all goes to plan.

Hence the use of 1 foot.

In my mind he is 3 match wins away from a PL place. He hasn't even got his socks on yet. One win won't make much difference.

3 great matches this afternoon

Lewis v Thornton
I reckon Thornton has to get in front as he isn't the best at coming from behind & if Lewis get the first couple of sets he could easily win 4-0

Smith v Anderson
I wonder if Gary record against Andy will play on his mind. I don't recall them ever playing on TV so I assume Andy's 5 wins have came on the floor so it's a whole different kettle of fish on the TV

Jenkins v Walsh
Is Walsh finally getting over his poor form on TV? Think this will be the closest match of the afternoon with The Bull just edging it

So much for the PDC trying to get away from the Not Nine O'Clock News image of the game. First interview of the day is with a fat bloke drinking alcohol in a bar!
