You know , you're right. Only last night I was talking to Wayne the builder, who was bragging about his £3 billion he has shoved away in Cayman isles accounts he has accrued from dodging paying his share through loopholes and schemes brought in by the lobbying of government.

They're all as bad as each other. We should just turn a blind eye.

Nope he's that stupid in person as well.
The thing with lefties is they believe it's always someone else's fault and others should be picking up the slack for their own inadequacies.
Just look back to the 70s when the last leftie government was in power, they taxed the high earners so much that they left the country and paid tax elsewhere, strikes, shortages and a crippled economy followed, but guess what - that was all someone else's fault, when the tories in the early eighties had to cut services to balance the books they were called evil, same happened in 2010 and as night follows day it'll happen again.

Just look back to the 70s when the last leftie government was in power, they taxed the high earners so much that they left the country and paid tax elsewhere

The 70s really weren't that different to the previous decades for top earners.

Income tax rates in the top band

1950 - 97.5%
1955 - 92.5
1960 - 88.75
1965 - 91.25%
1970 - 91.25%
1975 - 98%
1980 - 75%
Now - 40-45%


The 60s are often talked about as the golden era. Perhaps we should return to those rates?

1955 - 92.5 - Conservative gov reduced rate
1960 - 88.75 - conservatives again
1965 - 91.25% - Labour government increases tax
1970 - 91.25% - conservatives voted in 1970
1975 - 98% - Labour increases tax
1980 - 75% - conservatives reduce tax
Now - 40-45%

Means nothing. A friend of mine on oxygen in the hospital is online all the time the only way to communicate to family.

Well done to my local Aldi for being a bunch of stupid jobsworths. I'm a site cleaner on retail parks containing said Aldi and every 2 days i'll pop in to get two items (a loaf of bread and some milk) and have not had any problems.

Today I was told i needed a trolley to enter the store, I asked why as I have not had a problem before, to be told that people are not following the social distancing rules. I replied that I have always followed the rules and if they wanted to check there instore cameras they would see me following the rules explicitly. Nope that wasn't good enough as I was kept being told that people were not following the rules, yup you just told me that. I asked for the lass to get the manager (which was a stand-in), out they come SIDE BY SIDE to tell me people aren't following the social distancing rules and I wouldn't be allowed in. At that stage I just pissed my sides laughing and replied that those people not following the social distancing rules are fools and just walked off.

Now this is the same Aldi that leaves their trolleys out all over the car park at night and have tons of shite dumped into them, dirty nappies, food waste and quite recently used latex gloves and masks.
