Re: Draw World Match Play
how does it work??
i know obviously theres the top 16 seeds from overall OOM, but how does it work........
would 16th place in PC OOM automatically play seeed 1 (taylor)........so for example heydon would play taylor?
and say eccles vs wade
stompe barneveld etc.

Seeds 1-16 will be in Pot 1OllyNufc180 wrote:how does it work??

PC OoM qualifiers will be in Pot 2
One ball drawn from each to determine match-ups, and then the draw will be rearranged in bracket formation.
Thats how I imagine it, anyway.

Just straight forward simple draw of the PDC OOM Top 16 randomly drawn against the 16 unseeded players. (Players Champs qualifiers)OllyNufc180 wrote:how does it work??

Re: Draw World Match Play
Top 16 in the pdc oom are drawn randomly against the top 16 qualifiers from the pcoom. Seedings come into play in the second round, where no1 seed is scheduled to meet number 16 seed etc etc.OllyNufc180 wrote:how does it work??

Re: Draw World Match Play
Can you just imagine. Gary Anderson being "ill" overnight, Nicholson getting his top 16 place, and then Anderson drawing Taylor in the 1st round!
Re: Draw World Match Play
Or there is this scenario to imagine, Paul Nicholson wins the Players Champs and then plays awful for the next few months and fails to consilidate his place in the top 16 and misses out on the WMP - - - Oh wait a minuteSpud180 wrote:Can you just imagine. Re: Draw World Match Play
Top half looking brutal as it stands.
Taylor
Anderson
King
Whitlock
.....all in the same half potentially...

Re: Draw World Match Play
Whitlock could sort that out with a win tonight. Would move him to the other half of the draw, assuming Osborne doesnt get to the quarters.BrideOfFrankenstein wrote:Top half looking brutal as it stands.

Re: Draw World Match Play
Both sides of the draw are looking very difficult. Barney will be happy if his 1/4 stays like that, but Baxter does seem to do well in Blackpool.
Barney, Wade, Lewis are in the other 1/2. The 8 Premier League players are currently split in both sides of the draw.
If Anderson is seeded, all the other 15 seeds will also be happy that he isn't a floater in the draw.

Quarter Final £15,000
Last 16 £7,500
Last 32 £5,000
Winner £100,000
Final £50,000
Semi Final £25,000
Quarter Final £15,000
Last 16 £7,500
Last 32 £5,000
Re: Draw World Match Play
Anderson will stay seeded 16, don't think he will run away from a meeting with Taylor, he's good enough to beat Taylor when on his game.

Re: Draw World Match Play
And even if he doesnt beat him the experience will stand him in good stead - the way Gary is going he wont stay at 16 for long, there is seven grand to be made on Nicholson and others just for getting to the last 16 - and he will still defend what he won last year at the very least. If he is going to beat Phil you'd think he has a better chance early on.A.Dev wrote:Anderson will stay seeded 16, don't think he will run away from a meeting with Taylor, he's good enough to beat Taylor when on his game.

You cant pull out hoping 4 the best!
Its like soccer - Playing 4 a draw and hoping a near certainty result goes your way, inevitably means you get beaten and the result goes the wrong way!
Just play the bloody game and see what comes
