Wheres PDC world finalist Peter Wright has been playing like he did at Ally Pally in TV for a decade!DavidOwen67 wrote:He's only been throwing at that level for 18 months or so.Col wrote:It troubles me that you dont think JW could cut it in the PDC. Certain players you know will cope when they switch such as Barney, Whitlock, Webster, Anderson, Thornton etc and some you're not sure
I don't think I've seen enough of that quality from Wilson to say he could cut it in the PDC.
18 months is a long time in darts. You could cite some incredible turn rounds of form in that sort of timescale on both sides, in both directions. MVG being one of them.

Sirs credibility has been shot to pieces on this thread.

Fair point Rout, all I'm saying is I'm not convinced yet. He may well convince me in the next few months.Rout wrote:Wheres PDC world finalist Peter Wright has been playing like he did at Ally Pally in TV for a decade!DavidOwen67 wrote:He's only been throwing at that level for 18 months or so.Col wrote:It troubles me that you dont think JW could cut it in the PDC. Peter Wright was playing at a level to qualify for Lakeside in 95. He also lost to the eventual champion with almost a 90 average.Rout wrote: Wheres PDC world finalist Peter Wright has been playing like he did at Ally Pally in TV for a decade!

As people generally consider Lakeside from 94-2000ish to have been of deeper quality than the PDC and everyones comments about 90 average being capable of being a top 8 PDC player now.
Its fair to say that he has been playing close to that level for 18 years.
Given hes only really played the full PDC tour since 2008 its taken him 5 seasons to enter the top 6.
Add in he beat Buddah at the UK Open without breaking sweat it is being very optomistic that the Top 4 can be broken into in 2 years even the top 8 woudl be very difficult now unless you have a world final in those 2 years.
The advantage Buddah might have now over previous years is IF and thats a big IF a certain Mr Taylor is in decline and plays less floor and euro events as well then he won't hoover up alot of the money and that money will possibly be more spead over a wider group which hopefully will lead to a much narrower gap between the top 4 OOM money amounts and the number 16 OOM money amount.
I did have a thought earlier that really given the BDO 'water tight' 'expert litigation' team that Buddahs primary objective before the first week of Jan next year was to win the 100K to 'give' back to them .......

I never said he was JC. I said he was one of the best in the world and nothing I have seen lately has changed my view on that.

Re: Stephen Bunting
it is not trolling, I stated long before I did not believe bunting is in the top 3 as did many others.
This is a genuine question if he still believes what he stated about bunting.
You are labelling this trolling cos its a mod that made the stupid comments

Re: Stephen Bunting
Go and find a post where I said he was top three. You wont find one.
Re: Stephen Bunting
Not that we have seen Buddha play on TV since he's joined the PDC which is why I am looking forward to the UK Open very soon to see if he's capable of going deep in his first TV PDC outing.Col wrote:I never said he was JC. But at the moment I would say James Wilson is playing well enough to give anyone a close game from recent TV Outings.
